Corning
Museum of Glass (“Go Fish”)
For CMoG, we’ve produced a series of television commercials
that have had a direct and positive impact on attendance at the Museum.
This series of commercials helped brand the museum as family-friendly,
which was remarkably successful in helping to drive attendance up.
Notion Pictures provided production services including casting, directing,
Super 16mm film shooting and editing.

Rockwell
Museum of Western Art (“Where the West Comes to Life”)
As with Corning Museum of Glass, we were hired to help create a commercial
that would convey a sense of fun and excitement about the museum.
Rather than portraying the museum as a place for passive interaction,
our directive was to “bring the West to life.” We achieved
this through casting a wonderfully expressive actor to portray a museum
visitor, directing and shooting the commercial in such a way that
helped to breathe life into inanimate objects, editing the commercial
with sound effects and a western music track that resulted in a more
dynamic impression of the museum and its contents.

New
York State Fair (Television Commercials for 2004 State Fair)
With our creative business partner, iMed Design, we co-produced a
series of television commercials to promote the 2004 New York State
Fair. The advertising agency had developed a “Planet Fair”
theme for which we needed to create an appropriate “outer space”
environment. We cast the on-camera and voice-over talent, rented a
gymnastics center to give us enough room to fly the kids on a special
aerial harness and edited the commercial with sound effects and music.
iMed Design was responsible for designing and incorporating space-themed
animation elements into the “Planet Fair” environment,
bringing the production full circle.

Raymour
& Flanigan (Television Commercials: “Red Tag/United Nations,
“Father Time”. . . and many others)
Our client, Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, consistently brings
us unique and challenging commercial assignments. For the “Red
Tag/United Nations” commercials, we needed to translate the
words “Red Tag Sale” into 12 different languages and find
female on-camera talent to represent each of the 12 different nationalities.
We also needed to outfit each of the talent in costumes evocative
of their particular nationality. This commercial utilized client-provided
background images and incorporated graphic treatments to create the
illusion of worldwide locations. Creative business partner iMed Design
provided all compositing and special effects while Notion Pictures
provided all other post-production services.
Community
at Sunset Wood (“Skater”)
We were asked to cast a feisty senior female and a stunt double to
portray her as a skilled in-line skater. In addition to casting services,
we provided production services including shooting, directing and
all post-production. Unique to this commercial was the use of a 30’
jib arm which was used in the opening sequence for dramatic effect.
